Thursday, Week 11
We took Saturday off last week to get ready for our annual Halloween party Saturday afternoon. It was a very fun party, and all had a great time!

Thursday and Friday we did our usual work - nothing new - just more of the same.

Monday the boys attended homeschool PE in the morning, and then started a 6 week session of golf lessons in the afternoon. They had a blast and can't wait until next Monday to do it again!

Tuesday we did schooling with lots of Halloween worksheets found at edhelper.com. We covered math, reading, writing and coloring sheets with a Halloween focus.

Wednesday the boys had their enrichment program.

Today we started the day at mass celebrating All Saints Day. DH didn't have any calls until late, so we were able to go to mass as a family, enjoy lunch together and run a few errands. In the late afternoon, the boys did worksheets in their math workbooks. N also did a few worksheets where he had to determine the starting letter of words. C read an entire Magic Treehouse book this afternoon.

In honor of All Saints Day, I read a few of our saints books by Tomie DePaolo, and also from the Little Book of Saints (1).

My parents are on their way from Wisconsin, so I'm expecting next week to be a very light week. I'm considering posting just once a week on this blog -- mainly with new things we're doing, field trips, and new chapters, skills, etc. are introduced and/or mastered. We'll see how things go.

About Us
I'm a homeschooling mom with 3 wonderful kids! My boys are 6 & 7 and working at a 1st and 2nd/3rd grade level. We use Catholic Heritage Curriculum loosely, with lots of our own ideas added in. My boys attend an enrichment program one day per week during the traditional school year, which gives me extra time with my toddler daughter, and the chance to run some errands without my active boys.

This blog was a running list of what we do each school-day, but I tend to post here sporadically now. We usually school on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to take DH's days off into account.
