Week 4, At a Glance
This week started off slow, but we picked up momentum and accomplished most of what I wanted.

Monday we took off for the Labor Day holiday.

Tuesday, the boys drew in their nature journals, and Colin read 3 books (fairly easy phonics readers from the library).

Wednesday, Colin went to his enrichment program and Nate worked on letter recognition. He has 10 stickers on his ABC chart so far!

Thursday, the boys made birthday cards for their grandfather. Colin read one phonics reader, completed another time worksheet, and did pp 1 - 5 in the Little Folks Letter Practice workbook. Nate practiced counting using a tape measure and completed p 1 in the Little Folks Letter Practice workbook. Both boys watched a dvd about telling time and we worked on reciting the guardian angel prayer.

Tomorrow, we have mom's group in the morning. The boys want to attend the natural history museum after that, and I think we will do that. Nate can continue looking for different letters, and Colin can practice his reading while there.

The only thing lacking this week was the art project -- and that's because the fabric remants needed were misplaced. I'm sure I'll find them tomorrow and we'll do the project on Saturday, maybe.

In addition, we read lots of books (as always!)

About Us
I'm a homeschooling mom with 3 wonderful kids! My boys are 6 & 7 and working at a 1st and 2nd/3rd grade level. We use Catholic Heritage Curriculum loosely, with lots of our own ideas added in. My boys attend an enrichment program one day per week during the traditional school year, which gives me extra time with my toddler daughter, and the chance to run some errands without my active boys.

This blog was a running list of what we do each school-day, but I tend to post here sporadically now. We usually school on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to take DH's days off into account.
