end of year
We continued to homeschool, but I didn't keep up with this blog. I DO plan to blog as we start our next school year, however -- so stop back this August! I may also put up a few planning and goal posts this summer.
We had a good school year, ending it around the time of my youngest's birth at the end of April. Colin moved into mostly 1st grade books in February / March and we'll pick up there in the fall. Nate decided he was ready to do more work, so he started his Kindergarten math book around the same time.
This summer, both boys are attending camps at a local natural history museum, the zoo and our church. Colin is reading pretty well and is reading independently.
We loosely followed Catholic Heritage's curriculum this year, and will continue with CHC next year. As we did this year, I expect to supplement with additional reading materials as well as adding some extra history and possibly science. I also expect to be active in our homeschooling group next year. Although we were members last year, we didn't participate in anything due to a difficult pregnancy.
